چکیده
Background Delayed neurocognitive recovery after surgery is associated with poor outcome. Most surgeries require general anesthesia, of which sevoflurane and propofol are the most commonly used inhalational intravenous anesthetics. The authors tested primary hypothesis that patients laparoscopic abdominal under propofol-based anesthesia have a lower incidence delayed than sevoflurane-based anesthesia. A second there were blood biomarkers for predicting to occur. Methods randomized, double-blind, parallel, controlled study was performed at four hospitals in China. Bispecteral index facilitates postoperative recovery of elderly patients undergoing abdominal surgery
Introduction: Elderly is considered from 60-65 years old, and 35% of all surgeries related to this age group. Surgical complications in these patients have a high incidence and to reduce these complications Bispectral (BIS) monitoring during the anesthesia can be used. This study was designed to investigate whether BIS monitoring improves clinical anesthetic delivery, recovery profiles in elder...
متن کاملPerioperative intravenous lidocaine infusion on postoperative pain relief in patients undergoing upper abdominal surgery.
Due to unpleasant nature and physiological consequences of postoperative pain, search of safe and effective modalities for its management has remained a subject of interest to clinical researchers. Analgesic action of lidocaine infusion in patients with chronic neuropathic pain is well known but its place in relieving postoperative pain is yet to be established. The study aimed to assess the ef...
متن کاملEffects of Reflexology on Sleep Quality of Elderly Women Undergoing Abdominal Surgery
Background: Sleep disorder is one of most prevalent complaints in elderly people. Tension reduction can be effective in improving sleep quality. In this regard, reflexology can be effective in reducing anxiety and tension. This study aimed to determine reflexology effects on sleep disorders of elderly women undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods: This study was a non-randomized c...
متن کاملDezocine Prevents Postoperative Hyperalgesia in Patients Undergoing Open Abdominal Surgery
Objective. Postoperative hyperalgesia is very frequent and hard to treat. Dezocine is widely used and has a modulatory effect for thermal hyperalgesia in animal models. So, this study was designed to investigate the potential role of dezocine in decreasing postoperative hyperalgesia for patients undergoing open abdominal surgery. Methods. This is a randomized, double-blinded, and placebo-contro...

Objective. The aim of this prospective, randomized study was to investigate the effects of low-flow sevoflurane anesthesia on the pulmonary functions in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods. Sixty American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classes I and II patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy were included in the study. Patients were...
